Our Bohemian Romance inspired Christmas Tree Reveal- with Balsam Hill

Two posts in two days, that’s more than I blogged all year! Haha. But I have very good reason!! Today I am part of 12 bloggers of Christmas by Balsam Hill You guys are in for a treat!

After many years of neutral and all white decor, I was craving a more timeless and traditional touch this Christmas. What better time to introduce a new look, than in our new home (we moved in less than 3 weeks ago)! Our all white brick tutor style home called this magnificent 7.5′ Alpine Balsam Fir home. As soon as I saw it for the first time earlier this year, I knew it had to be ours. And it was definitely love at first sight, I’ve never had a more realistic looking artificial Christmas tree before! It’s truly exceptional what the folks at Balsam Hill have accomplished. We chose the pre-lit version, and the LED fairy lights give the sparse design (because you know I am a minimalist at heart) extra special magic! When she is lit up, she really is the center of attention and I dare say, I’ve never had a more beautiful tree.

She really didn’t need much, but thanks to Balsam Hill we were able to dress her up beautifully. You know me, I had to retain a boho vibe through it all- and I’d call the finished result something like ‘timeless bohemian romance’. We chose the Nicole Miller Ornaments because they reminded me of beautiful intricate sunbeams, and to accent them we chose the classic and simple Matte Gold Ornaments. When I saw these Rose Gold Winter Wishes Ornaments I just knew they’d add some romance to the whole affair, and I wasn’t wrong! They accent the brass and copper tones so beautifully. Lastly, to add just a little bit more texture and sparkle we added these Frosted Pinecone Picks . They are lightly dusted with glitter and emulate a winter frost that adds extra sheen to your tree.

Retaining a boho vibe, I chose this absolutely breathtaking Juliette Tree Skirt which is inspired by Moroccan wedding blankets and matches our pillows and trow perfectly and really ties the whole room together. Last year our tree was standing inside of a woven basket, but because this tree is much taller and larger I knew I wanted a beautiful tree collar. We are using this amazing Woven Tree Collar for some texture and placed the tree skirt inside of it. It spills over the edges so beautifully.

For tree toppers I always go the traditional route. For me, there is nothing more beautiful than a bright star atop a tree. This amazing Double Sided Starburst Topper is pre-lit with incandescent lights, it showcases a beautiful array of natural capiz shells and is outlined by a brass metal frame. The symbolism is everything, after all there is One reason for the season 🙂  “The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it…”

I am just really smitten and happy with the entire Tree. It really adds that special something to our living room. Our open floorpan allows it to be enjoyed from both the kitchen and sunroom. It’s totally ok to keep this up all year round, right? 😉
